The Andrew Simpson Foundation is a global not-for-profit organisation that gives thousands of young people the opportunity to enjoy and benefit from the life changing challenges of sailing. It was founded in memory of English sailor and olympic gold medalist Andrew ‘Bart’ Simpson MBE, and continues to support his vision and passion.
The organisation was in a period of rapid growth with disparity between brand communications, and required a strong, clear brand to help support its ambitious goals.
The first project phase was an extensive review into the existing materials and communications, engaging with key stakeholders and exploring core audiences. From here we were able to identify that the brand would benefit hugely from a concise and clear internal Brand Book, to unify messages and outline core focus points for the next few years. We developed a new tagline, brand promise, mission, set of values and communication principles for the Foundation that captured exactly who they were and what they did.
Alongside the Brand Book we began working on the core visuals of the brand, re-working, simplifying and modernising the logo, colour palette, typography and visual elements across the board. The result was a bright, uplifting brand look-and-feel that championed the passion and positivity at the core of the Foundation, and connected with their diverse audience.
We are continuing to work closely with the Foundation to support virtual and physical events, fundraising strategies, digital communications and printed materials and support them achieve their five year development goals.
